Modern Media Console is back, but there’s no shortage of new shows to watch this summer. 

While it’s tempting to jump right into your summer binge with a handful of popular shows, that’s a bad idea.

You’ll have to make do with a few favorites.

Here are our picks for the best new TV shows in August and September, along with a brief synopsis. 

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 premieres on Sept. 19. 

 The CW’s Arrow  comes to The CW on Oct. 17. 

Sons of Anarchy Season 6 premieres Oct. 30. 

Supergirl Season 1 premieres Dec. 4. 

Halt and Catch Fire Season 3 begins airing on Oct 18. 

Parks and Recreation Season 3 returns Oct. 25. 

Dance Moms Season 2 premieres Nov. 5. 

Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 returns Nov. 12. 

Teen Mom OG Season 6 starts airing on Dec. 6. 

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Season 4 premieres Jan. 13. 

American Horror Story: Coven Season 7 premieres Feb. 3. 

Star Trek Beyond  opens March 7. 

Suits Season 2 will premiere April 4.

 The Walking Dead Season 9 premieres April 7.

A&E’s The X-Files Season 6 will premiere May 12.

The CW also announced on Tuesday that it will stream a series of original documentaries titled The First Year: The Rise and Fall of the X-Men.
